What’s New in STHENO/PRO Version 2.1?
The latest release of STHENO/PRO offers a number of significant product improvements, the highlights of which are listed below.

| SMART Edit now even more powerful
The renowned "parametrics on demand" functionality provided by the SMART Edit tool in the STHENO/PRO ADVANCED package has been further improved, saving you even more design editing time:
SMART graphics - have been greatly improved, using highlighting in two colours to distinguish selected geometry and dimensions, and showing a shadow of the original geometry during dragging
Point probe - SMART now recognises all the point probe options, enabling geometry to snap onto existing geometry
SMART probe filters - have been added for easier selection of dimension values, for example, without selecting geometry or leader lines
Circle centre-lines - are now SMARTer and, where appropriate, move the end points with the circle as well as the line position. Centre-lines are now recognised in non-orthogonal geometries.
Text and Prims - retain their position when attached to other geometry.
Symmetry dimensions - have been extended to include both explicit and implicit cases, and improved to give intuitive behaviour which maintains the symmetry

| STHENO/PARTS now even more user friendly
The STHENO/PARTS standard CAD parts library has received a face lift, with a new, even more appealing user interface introduced with version 2.1

| JDBC Database Connectivity
STHENO/PRO now has the capability to use most Java Thin Data Base driver clients, which means that STHENO/PRO administrators can provide access for the STHENO/PRO Bacis2 environment direct to any database which has a client. Most commercial databases now offer such clients for free. The JDBC interface is included as standard in the STHENO/PRO PLUS and Advanced package.

| Dashboard Management Tool
The new Dashboard Management Tool allows administrators to create and store context-sensitive dashboards and properties dialogs for user-specified groups; selection criteria can be very diverse, allowing the user interface to react intelligently to any “special” groups defined for your company. This means that it is now very simple to integrate your customisations of the STHENO/PRO PLUS and Advanced sheet structure into the user interface in the STHENO/PRO dashboard style, gaining even more productivity.

| Text and Leader Lines
STHENO/PRO has been able to create dimension style notes, with a bounding box and a leader line, for many years. However, many customers have asked for the capability to add a bounding box and leader line(s) to any text at random, especially unstructured imported notes. This has now been implemented as an integral part of the standard text mechanism, giving users even greater flexibility.
