CAD Schroer 2016 Cycling Fundraiser

Annual company-wide bike campaign once again sees a good outcome at the finish line

Cambridge, UK and Pittsford, NY – 30 November 2016: During CAD Schroer’s 6th annual bike campaign, employees left their cars at home for 7 months and took their bikes to work. The results are impressive.

Biking to work

This year’s cycling campaign organised by the engineering software developer in Moers came to an end last month. As in previous years, the enterprise based in Moers-Kapellen once again challenged its employees to leave their cars parked and take their bikes to work – a challenge that paid off. In August, each kilometer travelled counted toward a good cause, which the management rewarded with a 50-cent donation per kilometer.

Biking in the summer of 2016

“This year we biked a total of more than 20,000 km. That’s a fantastic result considering what the weather was like this summer”, says Gudrun Tebart from CAD Schroer. “In the donation month alone, we booked nearly 6,000 km, with each kilometer contributing 50 cents to a good cause”. Gudrun Tebart: “Our expectations were more than met. Every year, I am impressed by our colleagues’ strong commitment”.

Cycling for a good cause

Each year, CAD Schroer holds a company-wide cycling campaign. From March to October, every kilometer biked by the employees is counted on a daily basis. In August, every kilometer to and from work as well as during scheduled evening rides with colleagues contributed directly to the donations account.
