An Interview with Manel Vázquez, Sales Manager at ICC

Question: What is your personal background, and how did you become involved in the MCAD business?
Answer: I originally trained as a telecommunications engineer, and then went on to do an MBA. My first contact with the technology sector was when I worked selling software at EMC2, followed by eight years at Computer Asociates selling product lifecycle management solutions. I then joined ICC in November of 2007. ICC has over 7 years of experience in PLM technologies, and we understand this area will continue to be a challenge for our customers over the next few years.

Q: Why did you decide to become a CSG reseller?
A: Because it was important for us to complete our portfolio of MCAD solutions; and STHENO/PRO®, in particular, addresses our customers’ need to integrate their legacy CAD files with their Windchill® environment.

Q: Who are your customers, and what issues do they have in common?
A: Our customers are SMBs in the automotive, manufacturing, airline, pharma-chemical, cosmetics, goverment and financial sectors. We are also working on PLM projects in some large, strategic accounts. Their issues are all around finding the best technology for the entire product development process, to make sure they stay competitive and get high quality solutions to market quickly.

Q: What do you like best about STHENO/PRO?
A: We really like the product’s flexibility, and the fact that it provides a good solution for a real need out there – complementary drafting and legacy data management in a Pro/ENGINEER® and Windchill PDM environment. We appreciate CSG’s understanding of this need, and the engineering market in general.

Q: How do you see your business, and that of your customers, evolving over the next year or two?
A: Companies are having to address often complex PLM issues to stay competitive, keep up quality, efficiency and productivity. As new opportunities and technologies emerge, we are changing our offering and adding more solutions to meet those demands.
