The MPDS4 3D COMPONENT DESIGNER provides a user friendly dialog for choosing from a wide variety of existing catalog components, basic parametric shapes, or even imported 3D models, used as the basis for new components. It then allows users to add animations to simulate realistic movement scenarios in a plant or factory.

Because MPDS4 creates its 3D models on the fly from drawing routines in its database, it can handle and display extremely large plants or assemblies with ease. The COMPONENT DESIGNER obviates the need to learn programming languages to create these drawing routines. Once created, the routines can be stored in the database for re-use in future plant or factory designs.
