What's New in STHENO/PRO Version 2.2?

In addition to support for the latest versions of Pro/ENGINEER® and AutoCAD®, and some great extensions to our ground-breaking SMART Edit tool, customers will be especially pleased to see that we now offer a raster product with full colour support - an even better way to integrate legacy drawings and other images into your Pro/ENGINEER world with the help of STHENO/PRO.

New in STHENO/PRO

Support for AutoCAD® 2007
STHENO/PRO version 2.2 now offers full support for the AutoCAD DWG format up to AutoCAD 2007 (HP-UX up to AutoCAD 2006).

Support for Pro/ENGINEER up to Wildfire 3.0

New STHENO/IMAGE COLOUR™ module for full colour raster support
The new STHENO/IMAGE COLOUR module allows customers to incorporate full colour images and scanned drawings into their designs. Around 90 major image formats are now supported. Existing customers with the bitonal STHENO/IMAGE product can upgrade for a small fee. Both products now support up to 5 separate rasters in a design, with the option of saving them to file (associated with the sheet) or directly in the sheet. Raster selection has also been further improved.

SMART Edit now with non-orthogonal geometry support
This release features major advances in the area of non-orthogonal geometry in SMART Edit, the popular click-and-drag editing tool for “parametrics on demand” available with the STHENO/PRO ADVANCED package. SMART Edit now works not only on angular dimensions, but also on linear dimensions at an angle; i.e. on dimensions not in the X and Y axis. When the angle of the geometry is changed, non-orthogonal dimensions change appropriately.

New sheet and symbol preview functionality
STHENO/PRO can now automatically create thumbnails of a sheet or symbol on save, storing them directly within the sheet; or users can create their own thumbnails. This greatly speeds up the preview process for larger sheets and symbol libraries.

New User Attribute Manager
A new User Attribute Manager makes it easy to define and store additional element attributes, such as supplier, weight, or surface material. Attributes can be copied across elements, and are stored with elements in the sheet, making it easy to create symbols for use across the entire company.

Personalised layer management
Administrators can now allow users to define, store and retrieve personal layer definitions in addition to company defaults. User-defined layer sets (for particular customer projects, for example) can be saved into xml files and made available to other users, or to override defaults where appropriate.

New installation tool on all platforms
Drastically cuts the time required to install the latest release of STHENO/PRO.
