Advanced Drafting Functionality for Plant and Factory Drawings

With the MPDS4 PLANT DESIGN and factory layout software there is no need to deploy a separate 2D CAD system, although the software makes it easy to exchange data with other systems if required.

Boasting an integrated advanced 2D drafting environment (MEDUSA4 ADVANCED), MPDS4 automatically delivers all the 2D drawings required for downstream manufacturing direct from the 3D plant model. Designers can use the drafting facility to dimension, edit and augment automatically generated 2D views of their 3D data.

MPDS4 FACTORY LAYOUT users can import and edit 2D layouts to form the basis of 3D buildings. The optional 2D piping and instrumentation design (P&ID) module integrates with 3D Piping Design.

A powerful DXF/DWG interface is included to ensure easy data exchange with external stakeholders and systems. Other high quality 2D and 3D CAD data interfaces and raster image integration tools are also available.
