MEDUSA4 – Styles
The Style Concept

One of MEDUSA4's most valuable features is its style concept. Styles allow the Administrator to define and name a set of element properties, making it easy to develop a range of corporate styles, and automatically enforce company standards for layering, use of colour and line type. Styles are handled by MEDUSA4's dashboard, which gives instant feedback on those element properties associated with a specific style.
The Administrator determines user access permissions, allowing individuals to view and edit pre-defined element and object properties within clearly defined limits.

Styles are especially useful in scenarios where designers want to adapt external data to corporate standards. For example, styles allow users to quickly reformat imported DXF drawings: using the Power Selection menu, engineers can search for elements according to single or combined criteria – such as colour and layer. They can then quickly allocate a style to the geometry presented, making the assignment of company standards an almost automatic process.
